• Our Group members Onur Baskirt and Soner Dedeoglu visited Broadcom and Atheros on July 20, 2006. We visited Haluk Konuk, PhD at Broadcom. He showed us Broadcom's Test Lab. He gave some information about chip testing techniques and processes. Also,  we talked with Koray Oner about memory controller part of Broadcom's oncoming chip. At Atheros we talked with Hakan Dogan, PhD and Soner Ozgur, PhD about their BS, MS, and PhD experience in US. Hakan Dogan and Soner Ozgur did their BS at University of Southern California (USC) Electric Enginnering. Hakan Dogan did his MS and PhD at University of California, Berkeley. Soner Ozgur did his PhD at Georgia Tech. Also, they shared us what they are working on at Atheros recently.

• BUVLSI members visited Stanford University, on July 19, 2006. We did campus tour at Stanford University.

• BUVLSI members are @ University of California Santa Cruz (USCS) on June 25, 2006. We are in USCS for two months on our project called Hardware Description Toolkit. (HDLtk)

• Assoc. Prof. Aydin Yesildirek of Gannon University was at Bahçeşehir on June 1, 2006. He gave a seminar about overview of embedded system development flow.

• Prof. Alex Orailoglu of UCSD was at Bahçeşehir on May 18-19, 2006. He gave two seminars. One on VLSI BIST with Diagnostics and the other on Nanoelectronics and Nanoarchitectures. He also attended the 1st Turkish Chip Summit at our Beşiktas Campus.

• Aarohi Communications got acquired.  Dr. Sezer Gören Uğurdağ worked there between 2002-2004.
